today i went to watch simpsons with the usual suspects.
but before that i had dinner with them and went to acsi to watch some drama night production. the drama performance wasn't that bad, but the last play got rather boring and i switched off. instead i went to play with yihang's SLR. damn sexy :D

the pass two weeks were the nationals. this year's nationals was really something new, i mean, i feel that i'm finally in a swim team. barker used to be something like come and go swim team, but in acjc, you need to swim for the team. swam relatively okay this year.

as with tradition, we celebrated post nationals on the day after nationals at elizabeth hotel's modesto. the food there was awesomme (: and we joked around and played cards after cards. haha i think it was a nice place and a nice party.

my coach steve is leaving, so we, the sicc swimmers, threw a party for him as a farewelll party on the previous sunday. i didn't like the dinner, then again, who would? its billy bombers. i personally think it sucks. lol fraser was sick cause he didn't warm down. why do i sound so monotonous today... -.-

then we watched harry potter. i swear, my expectations were so great the movie disappointed me quite badly. WHERE WAS THE THIS WHERE WAS THE THAT? but its a show story follower should read.

school's back to full swing for me

today was the first day of my nationals. i felt really weak and tired in the beginning, and my strokes weren't too great either. i thought it was going to be a lousy swim, a pathetic day. yet, i'm pleased with my own timing, a time i never expected to do last year and this year. i felt great after that.

yeah, hell week's that annoying week where we sicc swimmers train three times a day and get killed by our evil coach steve. trust me, hes really evil. there was this once where he made us do 3 by 200m fly all outs. thats about a abit hard, just abit hard.
but then again, i had fun too. (: edward, this J2 RJ swimmer at my club, was addicted to this arcade game called virtual on. its some robot thingy... we also played a little game called laser skirmish at marina south. it was itchy - the grass had their stupid seeds on my leg cause i got on the grass to fire those "laser (ahem infra-red) bullets"

on the last night of our supposed hell week, we watched oceans thirteen! i love that show. HAHA
the plot's not as cool as the first, but the personality is there. hah

exams are in two weeks time and i haven't started mugging. DAMN
better start tmr. ):

half a year is almost up and it still feels like school has just started. i know that acjc is my school yet, but it feels like a school for me to latch on for two years to study. i feel totally weird, being in a place where things are so different from the old ACS. is this really an Anglo-Chinese? JD and marc agrees with me.

is this how JC will be? just work non stop and work hard? never know when you'll find yourself so rooted to the school to give that testimony to the school if it needs it? is JC just independent study, where is the atmosphere? i admit, its been fun being in JC. you'll enjoy your time more, but all this feels like a facade. where is the true meaning of education? or am i just being really emo now? damn lol

on the other hand, things may just get better. Nationals are coming, maybe thats when i'll feel the spirit of this school. for now, its just wait and see, just wait and see...

today was the acjc swimming finals. before i begin, i'll like to congratuate everyone who swam well today (: esp bob! HAHA, well done overall champs, and that 100 free where you almost won! :D
anyway, woke up really tried cause i stayed up really late playing sims 2. therefore, i reached the pool late and the rest were like, wow, you're damn early. warmed up quickly and swam 1 event and 1 relay.

then, we started dunking people into the pool. WAHHA damn fun. i dunked er... claudia :D lynette irvin ting (opps) and marcus. ahaa, and i got dunked by irvin too. lol. devin ordered pizza and we swallowed it up. lol

i've got GP test on monday on education package and i haven't read a single piece. NICE

anyway, school's been progressing rather well and i've got tons of homework and reading materials. i've barely read finish my economist, not even half of it when the next issue arrives. plus, i've got tons of tutorials to complete and i've got to revise my first three month's work cause i totally forgot them. hahaha. screwed...

on the other hand, my class is getting really fun. sadly, mark bala, eewen and my cheering partner yongxin can't stay in sa1. but we've got rather similar timetables so its okay. speaking of timetables, MINE SUCKS. like wth. so little breaks.
